Web Application Assessment
A Web Application Assessment (WAA) involves looking at your website or web services to determine if there are any weaknesses which could be exploited by cyber criminals. To do this, we use a combination of automated scans and manual passive testing which would not impact on the performance of your web services. If any weaknesses are found, we rate the risk that they pose to your business and can advise you on next steps you can take with your internal IT team or an external partner to address them.
Who should get a Web Application Assessment?
Cyber criminals commonly run scans to look for known weaknesses in business’ websites or web services. A WAA is therefore something all businesses with any online presence should consider.
What are the benefits to my business?
- Reduces the chance that a criminal can breach your website and cause financial or operational disruption, protecting against loss of data, money and time;
- Provides you with reassurance that you are doing all you can to protect your customers, your supply chain and your employees.

Other Vulnerability Assessment Services
FIRST STEP WEB ASSESSMENT
This service provides you with an initial assessment of your website to highlight its most pressing vulnerabilities, focussing on the reconnaissance stage for the site. FSWA is considered an initial light touch assessment of the website compared to the complete Web App Testing service offered.
INTERNAL VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT
The service will scan and review your internal networks and systems looking for weaknesses such as poorly maintained or designed systems, insecure Wi-Fi networks, insecure access controls, or opportunities to access and steal sensitive data.
EXTERNAL VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT
Remote vulnerability assessments are focussed on identifying weaknesses in the way your organisation connects to the internet. Service reporting will provide a plain language interpretation of the results and how any vulnerabilities might be used by an attacker, as well as simple instructions on how any vulnerabilities might be fixed.
